Infinimedia CEO one of top 20 leaders under 40

The Miami Herald recently released a list of the top 20 leaders under the age of 40 in South Florida, and our CEO Brian Breslin was fortunate enough to be included in that group. At 27, Brian is the second youngest in the group of finalists. Infinimedia is very proud to have our founder recognized amongst such an esteemed group of teachers, scientists, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and leaders. Congratulations to all of the top 20.

Facebook Developer Garage

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting the 2nd ever Facebook Developer Garage Miami on May 30th, 2009. This will be the second time we host a developer garage, the last one being in November 2007. This event will cover basics and more in-depth technical aspects surrounding the Facebook developer platform.

If you’ve ever wondered about marketing and developing on the platform, this event is for you. Speakers will be coming in from all over the country to cover topics such as: implementing facebook connect, targeting ads on facebook, the open stream api, facebook mobile, and many more.

In case you were wondering what was causing the silence on the blog/site here, its because we’ve been busy building stuff! We’ve made a lot of progress on startpr.com, a new twitbin is coming soon, and a refreshed version of this site too. So stay tuned, its all coming in the next 7 days!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up and let you know we are now offering facebook consulting services. If you are unfamiliar with the Facebook platform, are interested in finding out how your company can take advantage of the 35 million+ user base, or have an idea in mind already, let us know.

We are now offering development of facebook applications in php or ruby on rails, marketing services, and community building/management services. We are also offering facebook strategy consulting and advisory services for companies with new or existing applications that need help getting them to that next level.

New design, projects, and more

So its been quite a while since the site was updated, and we were themeless for over a month! Well we’ve finally got a new design up, its much better for our long term goals, but its still not 100%. Hopefully over the next few days we should get the last few kinks worked out, and everything on the site optimized. Should be fun.

We’re also working on some new projects which should be out very soon. Twitbin is going very strong, and we’re about to formally launch a new version of Twitbin too. So over the next few weeks expect the following: new products, new services, lots of new things. Its going to be a wild summer, hopefully you can join us for the ride.

Castvertising updates

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates (and the fact there are still some bugs in this layout, we’ve been busy on client work. sorry.). However we do have some good news. Castvertising is approaching completion. If you’re looking for a sneak peak, keep your eyes peeled, we should have a few teaser screenshots this week.

Revisiting the old

For those of you who have dealt with infinimedia in the past, and I mean late 90s, you know that we ran a pretty popular mac site: mac-mania.com which later evolved into macinstart.com (I wanted to build a portal, hah!).Â So anyway, we’ve got a lot of old domains piling up and I figured its time to revive them.Â A LOT has changed since we initially started those sites, and we probably could have generated a fair amount of passive income from those domains over the last few years had we monetized them properly.

With that in mind, we think we’ve got a killer idea for you, the adoring public, to try out. We’ll be unveiling the network of sites this weekend hopefully. We’re building mini communities around them and loading them up with the tools you need to express and interact with each other.Â So stay tuned, we’ve got a bunch of announcements coming over the next week.

The infinimedia team is off to Texas for the next four days for the SXSW interactive conference. None of us will be speaking this year, but maybe next year.

You can check us out at the refreshworld meetup today at 4pm where our sponsored shirts should be on display. If you can’t make it, come look for either myself (Brian) or Xavier throughout and say hello.

We are aware of the problems with the design, it is far from finished, but we are working on it as quickly as possible.

What’s going on?Â

Well we are in the process of overhauling our site, as its been basically a year+ since we last updated it, and its all gotten terribly outdated.

So what can you expect here? Well first off we’re ripping the site apart and putting it back together better than before. Second, we’ll be integrating the site tightly with the blog, because, well there was no sense in having them separate. This might help us get our act together and post more frequently.

What happened to the old site?
Well we figured it was time to pull it down, we hadn’t updated it, and our recent work hadn’t been put up, so we figured we’d take it down for the time being. Don’t worry, the new site will be chock-full of neat stuff.

When is it coming?Â
Assuming all goes as planned, look for a new infinimedia.com before SXSW which starts the 9th.
