Twitbin Twitter Firefox Add-on

Twitter was becoming increasingly popular, but checking our messages on twitter.com was fairly inconvenient. At the time there were very few desktop clients to read messages outside of the browser or mobile.
Our Approach
We took a long hard look at where we were spending most of our time online, and realized it was right inside of the Firefox web browser. We didn’t want to have to switch between applications or tabs or windows in our computers while we worked on the web.
Our Solution
So we decided we needed a passive way to stream all our incoming twitter messages to us automatically as well as allow us to be active in the community by posting responses and new messages. We took to the Mozilla Firefox browser community and emerged a few weeks later with Twitbin. Now nearly 3 years, and close to half a million installs later, we’ve been able to deliver millions of tweets, and engage hundreds of thousands of users where they surf.
